Mind the Minutes
We know a few things about time: Time is an illusion. Time is relative. Time is money. Time keeps on slippin’ into the future. But why does it sometimes feel like its flying by and other times like you’re slogging through it?
One day, the marketing director at Toggl (the popular time-tracking app) got in touch to see if I had any ideas for an interesting piece of time-related content.
Coincidentally, I had been thinking and reading a lot about the psychology of time and suggested it could be interesting to make a web-based activity that messes with your time perception while you play with it. We ended up getting pretty carried away and creating a whole series of time-warping activities that test your ability to estimate the length of a minute. Part psychological test, part essay, and part video game, Mind the Minutes was a project that was time well-spent.
